April 19, 2012:   In sharing other green drink
recipes with friends via email and Facebook
messaging, I learned that a prolific weed we
have growing in our yard is actually edible.

Thanks to Carol, for enlightening me about
'Filaree: Erodium cicutarium' as a native
source of greens.

I immediately went outside and picked some
with the intention of adding to our lunch salad.
However, because neither Paul nor I had
tasted it before, we wanted to experience it
à la carte. It's hard to describe the raw
taste...a cross between bitter parsley and
very strong cucumber.

Next time, I'll try sautéing in olive oil and
a little garlic...with a splash of Balsamic or
Apple Cider vinegar for a tail-end sizzle. Yum!
