Cathy Gazda, Artist - Home Page

April 12, 2012:   When I first read
Judy Chicago's book 'Through The Flower'
in 1975, I was equally full of idealism and
hope at the possibility of creating a different
world; one, where the status quo wasn't
so lopsided.

These days, I understand some things take
longer to change...it's all about the journey.

And the first step begins with me. I long
to unshackle the parts of my spirit that still
can be seduced by fear...to shed light in
those places where love has yet to reside.

Iris, with its symbolic representation of
creativity and birth, always invites me
to take that first step...yet again.
